How it works
A 92 BPM metronome ticks at the figure printed over the slow movement of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony. Wikipedia's article on the work shows its Andante con moto, in 3/8, at eighth note = 92: one click to each eighth note.

Questions and answers
Which piece has a metronome marking of 92?
The Andante con moto of Beethoven's Fifth, for one. German Wikipedia's article on the symphony tables the marks he added in 1817: eighth note = 92, then 116 at the più moto. It adds that most conductors take the work slower than marked.
Is this 92 BPM metronome in 4/4 or 3/4?
In 4/4: four dots, the first larger and its click higher. The clicks come 92 a minute whatever the bar. For three to a bar, type 92 into this site's 3/4 metronome, or its 3/8 one for the symphony, where the number counts eighth notes.
Is 92 BPM andantino or andante?
Either. Wikipedia's list of tempo markings runs Andantino and Andante moderato from 80 to 108, inside Andante's 56 to 108, and 92 lies in all three. It notes that andantino is sometimes read as slower than andante, and that its figures are rough.
What are the settings either side of 92 on a wind-up metronome?
88 below and 96 above. In the arrangement Wikipedia's Metronome article calls the most common, the scale climbs four at a time from 72 to 120, and 92 is one of its steps. A dial numbered another way may not carry it.
Why can't I hear the metronome?
Silence nearly always comes from the phone: a ring switch set to silent, a volume slid to nothing, or headphones on Bluetooth. The page is a visual metronome as well: unheard, its four dots still step through the bar at 92.
