Three rows, two jumps
The run is Q to P, then A to L, then Z to M: ten, nine and seven keys. It changes row only twice, at P to A and at L to Z, where typing A to Z changes row 15 times. Each row opens with five left-hand keys, and six neighboring pairs fall to one index finger: R T, Y U, F G, H J, V B and N M.
Forwards or backwards
In More options, choose Backwards under Order to run M to Q. That run opens on the right index finger, at M and N, and ends on the left little finger, at Q.
Questions and answers
What is qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm?
It is the 26 letter keys of a QWERTY keyboard read row by row: Q to P on the top row, A to L on the home row, Z to M on the bottom row. The first six keys give the layout its name.
What is a good time for typing qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm?
This page quotes no record and no average: it collects nobody's times, and keyboards differ. The yardstick is your own time: the result asks you to go again and beat it. For scale, 26 keys in 6.5 seconds is four keys a second.
Does it count if I slide one finger along the keys?
Yes. The page reads which key arrives, not which finger pressed it. A key out of order is not accepted: the run waits for the right key, adds one to the wrong-key count and keeps the clock running.
Does it work on a phone or on another keyboard layout?
On a phone, tap the box and the on-screen keyboard opens. On AZERTY, QWERTZ or Dvorak the letters are asked for in the same QWERTY order, so the run no longer follows the rows under your fingers.
