How it works
Typing accuracy practice on 80 lines chosen for the motions that cause slips: neighbour keys, two keys for one finger, double letters, swapped pairs and long words. The page opens with no clock, and every result gives accuracy beside speed.

Five kinds of slip, five groups
Neighbour keys sit side by side, as E and R do in paper river green store. In used made side need one finger takes two keys in a row. Double letters want two even taps. Swapped pairs are real words one transposition apart, such as from form. Long words run to ten letters or more with no space to recover on.
One group at a time
The page opens on the E and R line; after it the lines come mixed. With No timer a run ends with the lines or when you press Finish. Under More options, Practise keeps you on one group, and 30 s or 60 s adds a clock for keyboard accuracy practice under time.
- Type the swapped pairs slowly: both spellings are real words, so a spelling checker passes either.
Questions and answers
How is typing accuracy calculated?
Here it is correct keystrokes out of all keystrokes, as a percentage. A wrong key stays in the count after you correct it. Speed is separate: words per minute is correct characters divided by five, for each minute.
What is a good typing accuracy?
This page sets no target, because we found no public standard to quote. 100% means no wrong key at any point in the run. Compare your figure with your own earlier runs on the same group.
Why do I type letters in the wrong order?
That slip is a transposition: two characters change places, as when from comes out as form. The commonest cause is typing fast enough to press a later key before an earlier one. In the swapped pairs here the slip makes another real word.
Is this accuracy practice for typing only?
Yes. Every line is typed on the keyboard, and the notes name fingers on a QWERTY layout. For accuracy with a pointer, the mouse accuracy test is the page.
