Reaction Tests by Signal

The reaction time test measures one thing: how quickly you press after a light turns green. The tests here change the signal and see what happens to your time.

The audio test swaps the light for a tone, so you react by ear. The colour test adds a decision: press for the go shape, hold still for the rest, and count the mistakes as well as the milliseconds. The drag racing test counts a column of amber lamps down to green, the way a drag strip starting tree does, and scores how close to green you leave without jumping it. The sound and drag tests take five tries and the colour test ten signals. Each one reports in milliseconds and keeps its own personal best in this browser, because times from different signals should not be mixed.
