How it works
This right click CPS test counts only the right mouse button, so the score is your right click speed alone, in clicks per second. Left clicks are not counted, and no menu opens on the pad.

Which button counts
Browsers number mouse buttons by role (MDN Web Docs, MouseEvent: button): 0 is the main button, 1 the wheel, 2 the secondary button, usually the right. This page counts button 2 only. On a mouse set up for the left hand the buttons may be swapped, so click the one that normally opens a menu.
Why no menu opens
A right click normally opens the context menu. The pad holds it back while it counts, so nothing covers the box. A left click there is answered with one line and never starts the clock.
- Keep the pointer in the middle of the pad: a right click outside it is not counted, and there the menu opens as usual.
Questions and answers
What does a right click speed test measure?
Right clicks divided by seconds: your right click CPS, to two decimals. Over five seconds each click is worth 0.2 CPS. Over one second the result is a whole number, and over ten each click is worth 0.1.
Is this CPS test right click only?
Yes. The right button keeps a best of its own here, apart from any left-button score. For the left button, or both buttons drumming together, use the CPS test.
Does it work as a right click test, to see if the button works?
As a right click tester it gives a first check: press slowly and the count should rise by one each time. That shows what the browser received and nothing more. To list the gap before every right click, use the double click test.
Can I take an RMB CPS test on a phone?
No. A tap counts as the left button, so on a touch screen the pad says it needs the right button of a mouse. The CPS test has rounds made for taps.
