How it works
This pitch counter clicker opens on balls and strikes: tap one for every pitch, and the total is the pitch count. As a baseball counter clicker it also shows the strike percentage on the Strike card.

Chart a game
Tap Ball or Strike for each pitch, or press B and S. The −1 on a card takes one off, and Undo takes back the last press. Copy results copies the table, and Reset starts the next pitcher at zero.

The list under the tool has pitches by inning, pitch types and first-pitch strikes. A six-outcome set, with fouls and balls in play counted apart, is on the online tally counter.
Questions and answers
What counts as a pitch in a pitch count?
Every pitch thrown. A pitch count is the number of pitches a pitcher throws in a game, so a ball, a strike, a foul and a ball put in play each add one.
Does a foul ball count as a strike?
In baseball, yes when the batter has fewer than two strikes. With two, a foul adds none to the batter's count unless it was bunted. For the pitcher every foul is recorded as a strike, and it is a pitch thrown, so tap Strike.
How do you work out strike percentage?
Divide strikes by total pitches and multiply by 100. The Balls and strikes board does it as you tap: 18 strikes in 30 pitches shows 60.0% on the Strike card.
What is the pitch count limit?
There is no single one. It depends on the league, and a youth league may set a different number for each age group, so this page prints none. Type your league's number as the target in Pitch count to a limit.
Can I use the pitch counter for softball?
Yes. Softball has balls and strikes too. Its games usually run seven innings, so on Pitches by inning the last two counters stay at zero.
